Bombing of Central Bank of Sri Lanka, Fort

On January 31, 1996, truck bomb targeting the Central Bank exploded resulting in the death of 90 people and the wounding of 1,400. The Central Bank erected a memorial to their staff who were killed in the bomb (see civilian memorials).
